Why can`t I recover files to the original drive where they were deleted from?

Recover4all does deliberately not allow to recover files to the same drive where they were deleted from. There are 2 different possibilities how one could recover data to the same drive and none is appropriate:

The first possibility would be to create a new file and save the data of the deleted file to this file. But this way one is saving data to the drive where one wants to recover data from. And this is very dangerous because deleted files can be overwritten.

The second possibility would be to circumvent the operating system and directly recreate the deleted file at the same position where it originally resided. This can lead to success. However, there are risks and therefore Recover4all doesn`t have this feature: if the deleted files are to be restored at their original position, one must write to the original disk. If recovery with such software fails, recovery chances in further recovery attempts (e.g. with Recover4all) or by a professional data recovery service can become lower or impossible.
